Orderbook Introduces One-of-a-Kind ‘Regulation Aware Protocol’ for Tokenized Securities

In response to the recent regulatory guidance concerning token sales, Ambisafe has created an innovative self-regulating token class to assist with the management of securities on the Ethereum blockchain.

San Francisco, CA - March 14, 2018 /MarketersMedia/ —

Orderbook by Ambisafe has created a unique Regulation Aware Protocol (RAP) token which uses a whitelist to keep track of who is allowed to buy, sell, and trade each asset.

Token sales have drawn the attention of regulators around the world, with different countries releasing their own guidance on how offerings must be handled within their jurisdiction. The result is that regulatory parameters for coin offerings are far from universal.

This is a problem for project founders, who have to be mindful of the different regulations participants must follow. Examples of rules that must be followed are Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML).

Assuring Regulatory Compliance Regardless of Jurisdiction

RAP tokens have been developed by Orderbook.io to make this issue a problem of the past by utilizing smart contracts to check and respond to the permissions of every person who attempts to use them in a transaction. If a user who does not meet the proper compliance level attempts to buy a token , the relevant smart contract compares their permission level against an internal database, and instantly restricts their account from completing the purchase.

The Regulation Aware Protocol does more than allow creators to craft tokens that meet diverse regulatory requirements, however. It also introduces vast improvements to the general user experience by not requiring contributors to re-submit their credentials every time they join a new token sale. If this information is kept up-to-date within the RAP database, they will be able to freely interact with any sale that matches their level of compliance.

“We have created RAP tokens to be the perfect instrument for a new generation of financial innovation. We believe in the migration of financial markets to this new technology in the near future. It is a big step for Orderbook, and a huge leap for Blockchain technology.” expressed Andrii Zamovskyi, CEO of Orderbook and founder of Ambisafe

Currently, Orderbook is the only exchange that creates and supports the necessary registries of verified Blockchain users, storing them in a specialized smart contract. As the technology progresses, the benefits of maintaining verified user databases will become increasingly valuable, leading to more providers incorporating RAP tokens into their platforms.

Column: In Iceland, packing salt to face Messi at World Cup

Jun 21, 2018

REYKJAVIK, Iceland — To prepare for his job of keeping Lionel Messi quiet in Iceland's opening game of the World Cup, defender Birkir Saevarsson worked as a salt-packer at a warehouse in an industrial zone of Reykjavik, the Icelandic capital. Not because the 33-year-old seasoned football pro needs the money, but because the monotony of factory work, the graft, the need to cover his neat hair with an unsightly net all helped keep him real. "This is normal for an Icelander, you know? More normal than going to the World Cup," Saevarsson said during a recent shift before he flew...

9 arrested for corruption in building of new Roma stadium

Jun 21, 2018

ROME — Roma's long-delayed plans to build a new stadium hit another major obstacle Wednesday when nine people were arrested for alleged corruption linked to bureaucratic matters involving the venue. Among those picked up by Carabinieri paramilitary police were the stadium's main constructor, Luca Parnassi, and six of his colleagues. Prosecutors allege that payments were made illegally in cash, along with bills for non-existent job hires and counseling. "Those that have erred will pay," Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi said. "We support legality." A prosecutor announced that Roma was not involved in the investigation. "We don't know anything about it," said...

Japan beats Paraguay 4-2 for 1st win under coach Nishino

Jun 21, 2018

INNSBRUCK, Austria — Japan won its first match under coach Akira Nishino, scoring four times in the second half in a 4-2 win over Paraguay on Tuesday to end a 231-minute goal drought. Japan had lost 2-0 to both Ghana and Switzerland in its previous matches under Nishino, who took over from Vahid Halilhodzic in April. Takashi Inui scored in the 51st and 63rd minutes to make up for Paraguay's opening strike by Oscar Romero in the 32nd, while an own-goal by Federico Santander made it 3-1 in the 77th. Richard Ortiz netted for Paraguay in the 90th before Shinji...

WORLD CUP: Belgium has exceptional talent but so many doubts

Jun 21, 2018

BRUSSELS — With a wealth of attacking options, Belgium should be a potent force going forward at the World Cup. They might need to be, because with injury and fitness clouds over key defenders, the team could be vulnerable at the back. Just two days before Martinez named his final squad, center back Vincent Kompany injured his groin in a 0-0 draw with Portugal, raising fears he could miss his second consecutive major tournament after a leg injury sidelined him for the 2016 European Championship in France. Martinez is giving him until the eve of Belgium's Group G opener, against...

Lukaku on target again as Belgium demolishes Costa Rica 4-1

Jun 21, 2018

BRUSSELS — A rampant Romelu Lukaku scored twice and set up a third goal as Belgium closed its World Cup preparations in style by demolishing Costa Rica 4-1 on Monday. Dries Mertens opened the scoring for the Red Devils before striker Lukaku took his international tally to 36 in 69 matches with a volley and header either side of halftime. Substitute Michy Batshuayi completed the Belgium scoring in the 64th thanks to a pass from Lukaku. Eden Hazard tormented Costa Rica with his instant control and darting runs while fellow midfielder Kevin De Bruyne cut through the defense with his...
