FSA-Eligible Elliptical Models With Truemed At Checkout: Partnership Announced

SOLE Fitness announced that its ellipticals are now FSA/HSA-eligible through Truemed's at-checkout service, enabling customers to use pre-tax dollars and save 20-40% based on tax brackets.

Salt Lake City, United States, August 3, 2026 /PressCable/ -- As announced by SOLE Fitness, its elliptical models are now eligible for purchase using Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) funds through Truemed's at-checkout service. Customers can use pre-tax dollars for these purchases, with tax savings typically ranging from 20% to 40% - often translating to reductions of several hundred dollars on equipment purchases.

The news addresses a significant issue: recent Employee Benefit Research Institute data shows that Americans forfeit unused FSA funds annually, with estimates showing approximately $120 million forfeited in recent reporting periods. And, since FSA dollars typically expire at year’s end, account holders are pressured to either spend their balances or lose them entirely.

Through its partnership with Truemed, then, SOLE Fitness offers a solution that allows customers to direct pre-tax funds toward durable fitness equipment before those dollars are forfeited - particularly during the fourth quarter when spending urgency peaks.

“Use it, so you don't lose it,” says a SOLE Fitness representative. “Unused FSA funds usually don't roll over. Put yours toward a SOLE machine before year-end.”

Exercise equipment qualifies for HSA and FSA reimbursement when accompanied by a Letter of Medical Necessity, documenting that the purchase serves to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent disease. Truemed now streamlines the LMN approval process for SOLE Fitness customers by conducting a health assessment and coordinating with licensed healthcare providers, usually delivering same-day approval for straightforward cases.

SOLE Fitness has confirmed that its E95, E35, and E25 elliptical models are eligible for purchase through the Truemed integration. Customers should, however, be aware of annual contribution limits when planning purchases: individual HSA accounts allow up to $4,400 in contributions. Family HSA accounts permit $8,750, while FSA accounts are capped at $3,400.

With the latest announcement, SOLE Fitness continues to prioritize accessibility and cost savings for those seeking fitness solutions that support long-term health management. The Truemed at-checkout service represents an expansion of payment flexibility designed to help individuals maximize the value of their benefits accounts - all while investing in equipment that addresses chronic conditions.
