London, United Kingdom Feb 28, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - On 17th December 2022, the Latin American community in London came together to celebrate the United Nations International Migrants Day at Guildhall. The event was hosted by Luis Felipe Tilleria, the first Latinamerican councilor elected in the City of London, and was attended by several notable Latinamerican leaders, including William Garcia and Lina Usma from Extra Media newspaper, Raul Gimeno, manager of the Latinamerican Chamber of Commerce, and Harry Sardinas from Speakers Are Leaders.
The highlight of the event was the keynote address by Professor Chris Imafidon, a world record holder and renowned expert in education. Professor Imafidon addressed the audience on the topic of the migrant heritage of King Charles III and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, highlighting the significant contributions that migrants have made to the UK throughout history.
The event was held in honor of International Migrants Day, which is observed annually on 18th December. The day aims to recognize the contributions of migrants to societies around the world and to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities associated with migration.
Luis Felipe Tilleria, the event's host, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to bring the Latin American community together and celebrate their contributions to the City of London. "We are proud to be part of such a vibrant and diverse community, and we are committed to working together to make our voices heard and our contributions recognized," he said.
The event was a great success, bringing together members of the Latin American community in a spirit of celebration and solidarity. The organizers hope that this event will be the first of many to come and that it will help to build a stronger and more united Latin American community in London.
